How long does delivery take?
10 to 18 days to anywhere in the United States. One to two business days to pack, then shipping. We do not hold stock ourselves: orders are packed and dispatched by our fulfilment partner overseas and sent straight to you. We say this plainly because it is the reason you wait longer than you would with a big retailer, and you should know before you order rather than after.
If we cannot ship inside that window, we email you before the deadline passes and give you a choice: wait, or cancel for a full refund. You do not have to chase us for it.
Will I be charged import duty on delivery?
Any import duty is paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for a fee on delivery, send us the receipt and we refund it in full.
What if it does not fit, or my cat ignores it?
You have 14 days from delivery to ask for a refund. In most cases we refund without asking for the item back, because return shipping across the world costs more than the item is worth to us. Do not send anything back before we reply: we have no returns address in the United States, and an unauthorised parcel cannot be traced to your order.
Will the wall shelves hold my cat?
The honest answer is that it depends on your wall, not on the shelf. Drywall, plaster, brick, concrete and tile each need different anchors, and the hardware in the box is general purpose. We do not publish a weight rating, because a rating is only as good as the fixing behind it, and we are not there to inspect your wall.
What we can tell you: fix into a stud where possible, use anchors rated well above your cat's weight, and check the fixings from time to time the way you would with any wall mounted furniture. If you are not sure, a handyman will do it in an hour.
I rent. Can I use any of this?
Yes. The No Drilling, No Damage collection is everything that mounts with suction cups, adhesive backing or hook and loop tape: window perches, scratch panels, furniture protection. Nothing there needs a drill and nothing leaves a hole to repair when you move out.
Why are there no reviews on the site?
Because we have not had enough orders to collect honest ones, and we are not going to invent them. When real reviews arrive, they will go up as written.
Are the measurements exact?
Every product page lists the size in inches and centimetres. Measure your space before ordering, especially for wall furniture: the difference between a shelf your cat uses and one it ignores is usually the gap between steps, not the shelf itself. About 12 inches of rise between steps suits most adult cats.
Do the pieces match each other?
The wooden pieces are natural unpainted pine, so they sit together well, but wood grain and colour vary slightly from piece to piece. That variation is normal in solid wood and is not a defect.
How do the discounts work?
They apply automatically in the cart, no code needed. Two wall pieces take 10 percent off, an order over $180 takes 15 percent off the whole order, and shipping within the United States is always free. The cart shows you how close you are to the next one.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Before dispatch, yes: email us with your order number and we cancel or change it free of charge. After dispatch we cannot change the address, because the parcel has left our partner. Dispatch can happen within a day, so write as soon as you know.
Who am I actually buying from?
Halstead Supply is run by Dmitro Galko, an individual seller established in Bulgaria, at Monastirska 13F, 8016 Burgas. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and we never see your card details. Everything goes through email, because a written record protects both of us if there is ever a disagreement about an order.
